So Much Uncertainty

I am sad to say that I am still searching for a job. I was offered a position with my supervisor during the fall externship but, in my opinion, it does not work for me. Basically I am being offered a very risky opportunity which I don't think I am able to take at this point in my life. Essentially his deal with the firm is "eat what you bill" and I would do the same. While this is a legit way of going about your practice I would feel more comfortable with a salary at this point, after all I don't have a single client and I have bills to pay.

Compounding this dilemma, it looks as though the PTO is not going to be hiring Trademark Examiners as well. Apparently pendency, the main measure the PTO uses to gauge their hiring needs, took an unexpected nosedive last quarter and the spring hiring is now cancelled.

So now my two options have gone south on me. Back to the drawing board...

Beware of me!

I had one of "those" encounters the other day...

While walking to get lunch a man walking in front kept stopping in front of me and then would block my way as I tried to walk past him. When I first noticed him I did make a mental note that he looked disheveled and possibly homeless. After we crossed the street he looked at me and something to the effect of "does that come naturally to you?" to which I replied "does what come naturally to me?" He then made a statement about my third eye and my use of mental powers for evil. I told him that I didn't know what he was talking about to which he asked if I knew the police chief because I was "guilty of great crimes and that I people like me were usually well connected."

At this point I decided that I should probably end the conversation, even though it could've become very interesting from here. Regardless, I was hungry and dying for some Perfect Pita and Mama Zuma's chips.
